PIVOT Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2026

PIVOT ("we," "us," or "the app") is currently in beta testing. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information We Collect

Account information. When you sign up, we collect your email address and the display name you choose. Your email is used for account access, security (like password resets), and — where relevant — notifications you've opted into.

Location data. PIVOT is a location-based app. When you allow location access, we use your device's location to show you nearby watch parties and to record the location of events you host. You can deny or revoke location access at any time in your device settings; some features (like discovering nearby events) won't work without it.

Your activity. We store the watch parties you RSVP to, host, favorite, or interact with — including posts you make in a party's live feed, likes, and your favorite sports teams — so the app can show you relevant information and so other users can see event attendance and activity.

Content moderation data. If you report or block another user, we store that action to enforce our community standards.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information above to operate the app's core features: showing nearby events, enabling RSVPs and social interaction, sending relevant notifications, and keeping the community safe through moderation tools. We do not sell your personal information.

Third-Party Services

PIVOT relies on the following services to operate, each of which processes limited data on our behalf:

These providers only receive the data necessary to perform their function and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.

Data Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. Certain information — such as your display name, the events you're attending, and your public posts in a party's live feed — is visible to other PIVOT users as part of the app's core social functionality.

Your Choices

Children's Privacy

PIVOT is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

As PIVOT is actively in development, this policy may be updated. We will revise the "Last updated" date above when changes are made.
